Today is In From Japan day and this is by Madison Cunningham, who is honestly one of the best newer artists I’ve heard of. She works with Mike Elizondo for this song, who produced Fiona Apple’s Extraordinary Machine, and she also is constantly producing her own stuff as well as working with collaborators of Neko Case and Twenty One Pilots. Her instrumentals are so unique and always so so lush, and I never know what to expect with her guitar choices. She has like 50 different ones and always modifies their tuning in a Joni Mitchell-esque fashion to really execute her vison. She’s fuckin awesome
