This song means so much to me it’s my mother’s favorite song. It represents a time in my life when I witnessed my mother at her happiest she used to sing and travel and speak her mind freely. She used to try and hit the high note in this song; she’s never been able to quite get it. I miss seeing her effortlessly joyful and loving life, going out and being herself. Now she stays in the house all the time. She’s sad and I can tell. The jerks she works with make her want to cry because they do not respect her and pile up work for her to do. She has been on autopilot for years now. I don’t want her to have to work. I want her to be happy again. I’d love to see her singing this song again attempting to hit that famously high note. One day you will hit that note mama. I know you will.
