*vulnerable post warning* today is my step dad’s birthday. he passed away in fall 2024. time really does help, but it’ll never completely go away, ya know? I feel like grief is mostly spoken about when someone loses a person they completely loved and liked all/most of the time. but there were a lot of times that I didn’t like my step dad. it’s just strange grieving a person that wasn’t always easy to love, who had so many ups and downs, and who got better right before they were gone. cruel of the universe to do that, but whatever. I truly have accepted the loss of him. and the strange thing about grief, is it makes you feel guilty for healing. but there are times, like today, that the wound likes to reopen. and then it normally closes back up again until another special day or random thing reminds you of the fact that they’re not here anymore. life and death are so weird. anyways, I’m gonna shut up now. I hope everybody has been well <3 (also, he loved AC/DC, especially this song)
