I'm not trying to spoil things but I really, really hope that Democrats do NOT think that this is an affirmation of them or their policies. The party has gotten worse by almost every conceivable measure since 2024. Tonight is a firm rejection of Trump, his massively failed war in Iran which has sparked an unprecedented global energy crisis and some of the worst candidates we've seen in a long time. Chuck Schumer is still one of the biggest roadblocks to the progressive movement in America. The DNC is still a literally bankrupt and incompetent organization. Hakeem Jeffries is still an unfit leader and should not be speaker of the house. Going into 2028, I hope the DSA insurgency continues and that the Democrat leadership continues to be challenged and eliminated because the rot in that party is very real. It's just that, at least tonight, the rot in the Republican party is way worse
