So the other night I was driving to work in the rain and I turned to a random old radio station (I love finding new radio stations) and the host is talking about dedications and this girl named Emily made the request and wanted this song for a man that would come into her ice cream shop everyday over the summer and she was a foreign exchange student so she though t he’d never love her so ultimately it was this feeling of unrequited love and how she dedicated this toward him the man named Ben and I just thought about it on the rainy drive to work and it was sad but this like bittersweet hope that she had in him and idk why but the song really resonated with me..it’s stories like that that make me fall in love with the radio all over again
