From last November up until only recently, maybe still now a little bit, I struggled really hard with a breakup and my life in general. It was turbulent time where I was suffering from a then undiagnosed disease, my weight had dropped significantly, I was in between jobs and then when I was at my lowest the girl I cared for deeply just left, no explanation, no meaning, she just walked out my life and then didn’t come back. With all the troubles happening at the same time, I found solace within this album by Phil Elverum. This song in particularly really resonated with me, as it hit so close to home, the lyrics about being hurt whilst still caring for someone, and not knowing how to feel or to grief, it was that helping hand I needed. omg my birthday today, I woke up and the unc status hit me right away. the only good thing about being 22 is that it’s Ekitike’s number .
unfortunately after a lovely long weekend after getting too drunk, I am now back in work on the actual day ah well… I’m gonna nip the shops before hand to get some sweets for the class cause I forgot to go yesterday, and gonna get some pastries for the staff (I’ve also got them 1 Lindt chocolate each cause I’m the kindest person ever)

Maria Somerville and Fine are co headlining a gig in Manchester and again I’m struggling to find someone to go with argggg, Maria Somerville is playing in Liverpool on the 21st but Fine is not there and I wanna see Fine. I asked this girl if she’d wanna come but she can’t make it, she then invited me to a gig tomorrow but I already have plans with my friends, so I get no gig and also no time with this cool girl, it is NOT going well!!!
went the arcade wit my friend for her birthday, and she was out beforehand so she was pretty sloshed, so best believe I absolutely wrecked her on Mario cart and any other game we played 🤪🤪🤪 she was trying to drag me to this club thing she was going to, but I ain’t got time for that, but as I’m the gentleman I am I walked her to the venue in these artic conditions, unfortunately the last bus back to mine was also coming up at the same time… so when I tell you I was running for that shit i was RUNNING for that shit, she got into the venue safe and I got the bus so we all won in the end !
we almost at Friday 😛soooo close! I’ve been better at waking up today, I managed to get the early bus which isn’t really the early bus it’s just the bus that gets me there on time for work, I’ve also got lunch with me (a bit of a hunters chicken pasta bake I cooked up last night) so I don’t have to buy a meal deal from co op, and I’ve got a banana for break. It’s gonna be a sunny day and I’m pretty sure the class I’m wit has PE today so hopefully I can get the kid outside to enjoy the lovely sun, we hoping to reach over 20 degrees today, I would love that. Only slight problem is that I missed out on my wheatabix and cashew nuts breakfast cause I had to run to get this bus, but I do have these lil breakfast belvita things, so I’ll just have them instead. well thanks for reading my waffle, hopefully you all have a lovely Thursday and find a kitty on the pavement to stroke 🐈

Highlights:
- Doing some MD and finally getting to see Geese after everything, latched onto to some Spanish fellas and pushed right to the front, was insanely fun and I had a great view of the glorious Cameron Winter, was so atmospheric with the rain coming down
- Seeing Fcukers at 3am after staying vigilant in the rain for hours, warmed me right up as I was so wet and fucking freezing but best believe I was going crazy for some Fcukers
- My biggest surprise was Six Sex she was so good, crazy energy for 5am, and it was quite funny how due to the rain, the only people who stayed that long were the Spanish people and some English, the crowd was still super lively though
when I listen to this song I like to pretend I’m from the US from like Utah or something, I’ve just turned 21 and I’m in a bar on my own drinking a beer, looking back at my reflection from the mirror behind the bar, really get immersed
it was my uncles 71st (a real life unc) today, and we were at his house but he gave me 3 vinyl he found! what the heck, what a guy, one of them is a 3LP as well, I mean it looks like it’s suffered a bit of damage but still pretty cool. went to another pub quiz yesterday, we did better this time by two points so there’s progress, and despite the multiple entries of walking on sunshine in the music round, it was actually the answer to none of the questions so was a bit disappointed there.
guess who I’m seeing laterrrr… the one and only Smerz! got tickets for me and brother for his Christmas present all those months ago and it’s finally time! Funny story about these guys, I was in a pub a few months back and went to the bar to get a drink and this Norwegian man just started chatting to me, after like 20 mins of talking to this random man at the bar I said I like the Norwegian duo Smerz, he was confused and didn’t know who they were and I showed him a picture and then it was like a eureka moment, he instantly went ohhhh Smerz! and proceeded to tell me how I was saying it was wrong it’s pronounced more like Smurts or Smairtz, so I got a lesson in Norwegian pronunciation. but then he whipped out this little fun fact for me, he told me that one of the girls in the duo is daughter of the minister of finance of Norway! he’s also held the position of prime minister of Norway at some point AND was secretary general of NATO??
