I distinctly remember my 6th grade crush. He was a scrawny little guy w/big teeth who I thought was absolutely dreamy 🤓 I never spoke to him because I was too nervous, but one day at our lockers he was boppin to something on his iPod nano. Idk what gave me the strength but I said, “what are you listening to?” And he said “here, listen with me” and put one of his earbuds IN MY EAR 😱😩 I’ll never forget hearing Flashing Lights by Kanye for the 1st time. We listened at our lockers for about 40 glorious seconds before the bell rang and we separated. I still remember the song ending on 1:28. Of course, that crush never amounted to much more, but it did kickstart my love for Kanye’s music, and I’ve loved it ever since that fateful day. “Man, why can’t life always be this easy” #CruelTunesSW
