I picked this album up awhile ago but I’ve been in the mood to listen to it again, and these guys are such an underrated late 80s and early 90s hair metal band. Their vocalist and guitarist are criminally underrated, but their first two albums are insanely good
it’s a 90s and 00s pop-punk summer, so I’ve just been playing almost nothing but that type of stuff lately, and it absolutely rules
I’m wanting to get back into comics again, so I got some Marvel comics to dive into! I got a collection of 1960s Spider-Man comics, and Daredevil: Born Again, and Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet. I also got the prequel novel for the first Spider-Man game, so I can’t wait to read that.
I wanted to post a song for #yachtrocksunday but it wouldn’t let me, so it’s a day late.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Motion City Soundtrack lately, because their new album (and first in ten years) finally came out. I need to give the album more listens, but the song with Patrick Stump is absolutely killer.
there ain’t nothing like doing yard work and listening to 1980s hard rock / heavy metal
hey so when’s Lil Nas X gonna release a new album? this EP he dropped last year was full of straight bangers
I’ve had the itch for traditional heavy metal, so I went on a deep dive today to find stuff in that vein, and this band is pretty awesome
george strait is the king of country and there’s no question about it
I’m usually of the mind that Hall & Oates is better as a “singles band,” but the one album I love all the way through is their second album, 1973’s Abandoned Luncheonette. They were signed to Atlantic, before they went to RCA, so you can’t get any of the songs from this period on a greatest hits album, at least altogether on streaming, but this has some of my favorite songs from them, including this one.
“all the pain that you hold, let it rain, let it go.” I saw that Leven Kali had a writing credit on a song from the new Teddy Swims album, and I haven’t listened to him in a decade or so, but this is a great little EP from a few years back.
