I would love to hear Radiohead go back to back to Shoegaze and Britpop sounds after 30 years or so of experimentation in other sounds. The Bends is such a timeless album

One of my all time favorite albums turns 25 today—Summerteeth by Wilco. It’s an album that I discovered thanks to my parents and will always associate it with a trip I took to London in high school. It’s a very bright sounding album despite the dark lyrics. Give it a listen if you’re into psych and art rock with pop sensibilities!

I feel like R.E.M.’s music has fallen on deaf ears for people my age. For being a band who, at one point, signed the largest recording contract in music history, I never hear any mention of their greatness. This band deserves all of their flowers; not only did they pioneer college rock and alternative rock as a whole, but they refined the classic jangle pop sound juxtaposed the clean sound with some of the most beautiful and thought-provoking lyrics, courtesy of one Michael Stipe. Anyways, this song rules and was the song that truly made R.E.M. my favorite band.
