this song feels like walking down middle school hallways by yourself sometime well into winter. not even staring through the big windows at the cold, dark scene outside can distract you from the fact that your mind is heavy with the weight of all the bleak thoughts running around your mind. thereās an overwhelming sense of dread sitting in your stomach, a dull ache something like hunger. thereās something so addicting about the misery of āiām so tired.ā truly a masterpiece of a song

imagine finding a song you havenāt heard from one of your favorite bands. itās gorgeous. that first guitar drop is so good you have to close your eyes for a second. after the first listen through you know āwe gotta go backā is going to stick in your head for hours, days, weeks. itās beautiful, ebbing and flowing as the song twists along. you donāt even care that itās sixteen minutes long, itās your favorite. imagine a few weeks later you find an older, more run-down version of the song, and become completely enamored with that version too. thereās something so raw and exposed about the crummy sound quality paired with the desperation in willās voice, and you canāt pull yourself away from it. imagine finding the longest song you know. imagine it becoming your favorite. imagine humming it to yourself at work all these months later. dear me: happy one-ish year anniversary of falling in love with famous prophets. my favorite car seat headrest song forever and always.
