happy birthday, folklore. this is one of my favorite taylor albums (and taylor songs). beautiful storytelling and lyricism, stunning production, heartbreaking honesty and vulnerability. i’ve always admired and appreciated how taylor is able to put feelings into words and create a song for literally any feeling/situation. throughout a majority of my life (literally since i was like 8) her music is something i’ve clung to in my highest highs and lowest lows, to somehow feel less alone in my circumstances. anyways, this has turned into a sappier post than normally, but i will never forget waking up to her announcement of this surprise album and listening to it for the first time. 🥹

this would come on the radio at least every other day on the way to school pre-aux chord. still one of my favorite songs to jam to with my sister lol #hometownsong

my brother showed this to me and i would say that it’s pretty dope. also fills my weird angsty punk alt rock guilty pleasure that is usually filled with paramore
