today im proud to say that im a year sober! i had never touched weed before three years ago until a good friend of mine slipped me some edibles without me knowing. the next two years were the worst of my life. i developed severe mental and physical dependence on weed bc of the feeling i got from the first time. i used it to escape everything that i didnt enjoy, work, school, family issues. it was impossible to experience pleasure in everyday life without it. i got a wake up call when that same friend passed me a blunt laced with coke. it was the most frightening experience of my life and im grateful for it everyday. i started on a 7 1/2 step recovery program to become sober. have since cut that friend out of my life but i know she is in a dark place so i dont blame her. not preaching against weed cuz it is not technically addictive, just advise to choose friends wisely and use in moderation
