Always up for some good New York rock. Name me a better song than “Savoir Faire” by Mink DeVille. Have a fantastic week.
Despite the fact that I am under the age of fifty, I listen to Steely Dan, unapologetically.
I’m sure I’m not the first — nonetheless, happy Friday
Rediscovered this one today. Got to support the local kids
“Lost in the Flood,” from Springsteen’s first album, is a remarkable feat for such a young artist and certainly one of his finest pieces of poetry. It’s delivered with such power and anger (especially once it kicks in). An often overlooked and under appreciated Springsteen track. Definitely worth a listen. (There are also several great live versions on Spotify that are worth checking out.) Don’t get lost in the flood on this lovely #springsteensaturday (it will catch on eventually).
Been getting into Caamp recently. They’ve got some great stuff
It’s a Petty night
In honor of “the seventeenth of August,” traditionally the date the Galway Races are held in Ireland, here is “Medley” from the Pogues, which includes a fun rendition of the classic Irish tune “Galway Races”
In my head
Great Dylan cover
Saw these guys one year ago today. One of the best shows I’ve been to
