This has been a pretty rough week, but schedules aligned and I got to hang with my folks all day as we watched the kiddo. It was a great reminder of how lucky I am to have them as parents!

Five Iron Frenzy was a favorite band growing up and I doubled back to them on the recommendation of a friend. I’d forgotten how they swing between the very silly and the sublime sometimes within the same song. I’ve been thinking a lot about hope and action this week as I fight with job applications and this song really hit home in addition to being steeped in nostalgia.
