i’ve noticed over time how much my neighborhood has changed. i used to be really close to my neighbors and we shared meals and played outside all the time. there would be a tree outside on every lawn. basketball hoops used to be in front of every other driveway. on halloween, the candy bowl would be empty by the end of the night. even the park near my house was never really silent during the day, i would hear the creaky swings and children’s laughter from my window. it makes me a little sad how quiet it has become recently
