One of the most perfect songs I think I’ve ever listened to. In the heaviness of August, the moving guitar and warm tone recalls the soft sunlight streaming in through the windows and moving through your life trying to recover from someone. Faye Webster is truly one of my favorite artist of our generation with her simple yet impactful lyrics and dreamy compositions.

The only way to get through school is to pretend it’s fall and this is the only fall song to ever exsist. Nick Drake is so criminally underrated it actually makes me rabid his lyrics and composition is always top tier he is so incredibly honest and fantabulous!

Post-Berklee, this is the perfect song that wraps up my last few days in Boston and return home. The vibraphone at the begging of the track creates the perfect mix of familiarity and newfound melancholy, and Chet Baker’s lazy vocals over the brushes add to the effectiveness of the tune. This recording recalls soft hazy walks around Boston and reminiscing on your first love while trying to crank out a poem over morning coffee.
