I thought this young man’s story was just…beautiful. And tragic. Everything in this movie really happened. Troy Balton (because he balls) was corrupted, at first a beloved jock, before becoming a theater kid (😔). This was the start of his haunting fall from grace. So much horror is encapsulated in this. I’m enthralled.

Kendrick wrote this song IRL based on Killmonger, the main villain of Black Panther. In Black Panther, this song plays at a nightclub the characters go to. I wonder what inspired the Kendrick that exists in the MCU to write this song
