part 9 - aussie pub rock series: archie roach was a part of the stolen generation a policy that ran from 1909 until 1969 where aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their family by australian government agencies, and placed in an orphanage. roach wrote "took the children away" about this experience in 1988.

on this day 45 years ago the world lost a musical legend & a bisexual icon.. i’ve loved his music since i was a teenager and i love t. rex even more now!! it would’ve been incredible to be able to have seen them in concert. RIP marc bolan, the pixie prince of glam rock.
