SPOILERS Finished Stranger Things last night and I think the most horrifying part of the whole thing was how crushingly normal everyone’s life becomes. Like they have the most insane 6 years and then just. boom. Average. Everyone just becomes normal, boring people again. I guess that’s how people in the military feel coming back to civilian life. I know that has to suck

I remember this song randomly coming on shuffle on my way home one day last year, and being surprised at how emotional I was getting listening to it. I’d heard it already years ago, when it was first released, but hadn’t really listened to it since. But I was very moved this time, feeling a spiritual connection I hadn’t before, crying in my car. I got home and had a somewhat chilling realization: it was the anniversary of his death. Today marks nine years. rest in peace, David.
