just thinking of this elder man’s account i used to follow, he would post music and usually dedicate it to his wife who has passed, once he posted lana del rey for her and he explained that he would dislike when she would play newer music their daughters showed her but since her passing he’s revisiting the songs she used to play, he later says something like “now listening to the song i realize it’s just as beautiful as you were” i remember reading that putting on some lana right after and just crying. i cant find his account i dont know if he’s deleted it or it got taken down (if that’s possible) but i wish for nothing but the best for him whenever he is. this is one of those stories that really reminds me of the impact music has on memories, to tie a song someone is something so incredibly special, i hope everyone has/ will have “that” song with at someone special in their life wether it be platonic or romantic, it’s comforting to know at least the music will live on
