My tires my spade; a plow upon the tarmac; my brain into the windshield. But I knew it was all just limerence. Macabre phantoms of somebody elseโ€™s hardest day. The kind of awful days that first responders cannot talk about with families. Why did i even want such mangled things for me anyway? My body crumpled up just like my dreams โ€”a leaking origami smashed in angry hands of metal. And which poor soul should have to identify my body? What right did i have to inflict such scars upon their eyes? As much I could hope of reaping freedom my splintered bones, & blossoming with blood & oil slicks, the truth is Iโ€™d probably feel nothing. Only impact & obliteration. A life soaked up with kitty litter. Another cross lit up for passersby. And so i simply drove on & cried, trying not to think of answers for the questions i had about a car crash..
