Happy birthday to my mom. My mom has seen Pearl Jam 71 times. This song always reminds me of her!! She tells me that the song was written and inspired by her (🙄). Once upon a time in the early 90’s, she spent a few hours in a bar with Eddie Vedder & Mike McCready. Over the course of the night Eddie became sick and excused himself and he ended up delaying the concert that Pearl Jam was supposed to play one night in San Francisco. Before Eddie left, my mom made a comment to him that it looked like he “had some sort of bug biting you all night.” Fast forward a few years, and this song gets released on No Code and Eddie Vedder himself said the song was created the night he got sick before that San Francisco show. So who knows….
