this is jason isbell’s wife, who he wrote ‘cover me up’ for. jason credits amanda for saving him from addiction and ultimately saving his life. amanda is an incredibly talented musician and aside from her solo career she is also the founder of the highwomen (spinoff off the highwaymen) and also performs w jason’s group, the 400 unit, from time to time.
