new Cleo Sol album: 8.5/10 still prefer Mother and (at this moment) prefer Gold over this album, but still strong as hell. she’s the goat of “safe” music, meaning you feel safe and you feel like everything will work out when you listen to her music, and this album is the epitome of that. Cleo Sol fr doesn’t miss Favorites: Let Me Cry, Gentlewoman, Little Things, Honest Talk, Imagine Least Favorites: Thank You, Family Ties went for a walk while listening and saw a bunch of small planes take off, it was a calm lil vibe

we back we back we back NEW MUSIC FRIDAYYYYY AAAAAA warra week as well, so stacked! the Crown Jewels of releases is here though, Westside Cowboy my beloved, crazy how popular they’ve grown now but I really do love them and very excited to hear the album in its entirety. Also very excited for this Julia Holter album as well, sounds lovely. and of course Denzel Curry x Kenny Beats, a dangerous duo, can they reach the heights of Unlocked? I’m not sure, that was a super interesting project, but I’m sure excited to find out! Hope everyone has a lovely Friday FILLED with new music and joy 💚🤞

been thinking a lot about the concept of home, community, relationships, and feeling at home within oneself. The importance of all of them and how they intersect. What these words actually mean and the way they show up in our lives. Especially if you think about the story of immigrants who have to upheave their whole lives to go to another country for better opportunities, safety, or the myriad of reason one might have to. What would you need to bring with you (rather physical or not) to feel at home in this foreign place? Especially if you can’t speak the language, their culture is incredibly different, there aren’t many people who share your culture there… what if you can’t bring your family for the first few years? These notions of home and community, as we know, are so important to the soul and one’s ability to feel somewhat grounded and safe. To feel a sense of belonging - something every human being needs just as much as they need food and water.
