this is probably one of my favourite songs I’ve heard live, every time I hear it I think of a kid I used to go to school with who was shot in his own home in the third grade. he wasn’t in the wrong place at the wrong time, he was watching tv by the window in his new home for after finally getting a new beginning after moving away from our city, unknowing that the previous houseowners had people targeting them. he was quite popular in our class and all my classmates who still couldn’t grasp the situation had to all learn how to grieve together. the school planted a tree in his memorial and as the years passed we watched the tree grow and wondered how much he would’ve grown if he was still here. we weren’t close at all but I still think about it from time to time. moshing to this song was actually very relieving tho lol in a weird way. also the ads in this aritcle are pissing me off go away 😭
