melanie honestly deserves all the love she gets. i can only think of a few artists who are extremely talented in terms of their artistry and creativity shown throughout their entire discography and melanie martinez is 100% in that category. you don't have to like her music but you have to admit that writing practically all songs in an album then producing, scripting and starring an entire movie musical that you single handedly made takes a lot of time, dedication and effort. even though i don't listen to her músic as much as other artists i also like, i always feel this sense of awe whenever i hear what interesting play-on-words/rhymes she comes up with in her songs. she is undeniably talented and i have the upmost respect for artists that allow their music to be made into a real art form. Kendrick lamar is another example of this, also sorry for my long rant- i'm in dire need of SZA concert tix and can't sleep:D do y’all have any singers/rappers that youd say are ‘true’ artists?
