*Driving in car with friend* “yo you mind if I add a song to the queue” “sure what’d you want to hear?” *turns on this song. we hum and listen to the track* “I like this song! you know if I was a movie producer I would play this track right before something bad happens! Like the main character would be happy everything is going great then he comes home the song turns out and he finds his wife is cheating on him or his house is on fire!” “…. cool”

Random 5am deep cut but this one is REALLY good it’s funny when you deep dive certain artist they have all these single albums with random ass “remixes”, Florence is one of the rare ones that has more bangers than not. (Another notable one is The Weeknd remix of “Shake It Out” back when he FIRST got on the scene, like Triology era Weeknd it’s nuts) I feel as a culture we kinda need to bring shit like this cannonly back. And ESPECIALLY bring back fun alternative pop genre bending Florence Welch not just “cosplay as a tortured widowed ghost from the 17th century” Florence people LOVE to push on us

Just saw a video talking about the Atlanta Nostalgia Wave of last summer. and specifically this project. and after relistening to it 1. this project is severely underrated tbh. (part of me doesn’t get why because Atlanta’s sound has been so deeply rooted in mainstream hip hop the last 20 years this doesn’t even feel like a “niche” sound even with this being a passion project) 2. THIS NIGGA YOUNG DRO WENT ABSOLUTELY BALLISTIC THIS WHOLE PROJECT This song and “WTF Goin” this man was doing backflips on the the beat. the pockets he found were nuts but the first verse of this song specifically I don’t think is talked about enough. we nostalgia bait a lot when it comes to older music and tbh sometimes take for granted how good certain people are especially when they were putting out so much quality shit at one time. But the skill level certain people had still shows when put in the right light
