today marks 4 years since i graduated from treatment!! i’ve officially been in recovery as long as i had my ed, which feels so weird to wrap my head around. for so long that part of my life felt like everything, and now it feels like just one chapter in a much bigger story. i spent so much time hating myself and suffering for what?? now i’ve spent an equal amount of time learning how to love life and grow into myself. it hasn’t been perfect and it’s definitely not always easy. i’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way, but i wouldn’t trade that growth for anything. i also wouldn’t be in this position without my family and friends. so thank you guys. i love you. recovery gave me my life back, but more than that, it gave me a life i actually want to live. looking forward to whatever comes next 🫶🏻

another really easy nice listen from the other day 💫 i love deb never but besides a few singles i havent ever listened to a full length project so this was an awesome intro to more of her music im glad i picked it up and think it’ll be an album that grows w me throughout the year also idk if anyone else does this but whenever i go to talk about a new album i usually don’t post the song i actually liked the most…i do the opposite because i feel like i wanna save the songs i liked for other future posts lmaoooo

This first time I heard this song was when I did the full album listen while I was driving to go see my Oma. I took the interstate and once you reach after this certain exit it’s genuinely empty and such an easy drive (which means I was borderline flying) and the it was golden hour so the the sun was setting nicely behind the gorgeous green trees with fhe mountains framing it, I had my windows down blasting and it’s one of those first listens tha I’ll never forget It was such a special moment and a mix of of “wow I’m so grateful to be alive and have these special drives to see my oma as much as I do” and “oh my god this fucking song hurts and I feel it so deeply I’m going to throw up I love music” and over all just being present and appreciating nature on my journey! this is by far my favorite from the album olivia encapsulates what it means to feel something so well 💜💜💜
