I’ve been listening to a lot of Motion City Soundtrack lately, because their new album (and first in ten years) finally came out. I need to give the album more listens, but the song with Patrick Stump is absolutely killer.

I wanted to post a song for #yachtrocksunday but it wouldn’t let me, so it’s a day late.

I’m usually of the mind that Hall & Oates is better as a “singles band,” but the one album I love all the way through is their second album, 1973’s Abandoned Luncheonette. They were signed to Atlantic, before they went to RCA, so you can’t get any of the songs from this period on a greatest hits album, at least altogether on streaming, but this has some of my favorite songs from them, including this one.

2025. what a year. (here comes my sappy sentimental post) although the downs were really down and rough and i really had to push through it. the ups were so amazing. i have to be appreciative, i had an amazing summer with my friends. i got to go to italy. i interned at a really great company. and i just got to work on myself and not be bothered by a relationship because honestly i don’t need it. most importantly i got closer to God this year. went to church more. read my bible. which i think was so important in guiding me through this year. i can’t wait to see what next year has in store not only for me but for all of you guys! 🤍
