gotta thug dis out 🥲 my hg w 7 hrs diff has been distant for weeks n i eventually got tired of always reaching out. only 2 days ago did she finally reach out ofc i listened bc i figured it must've been bad now dat she texted me. felt relieve dat she’s happy but sometimes yk i wish she’d ask abt me too instead of js letting her talk all da time 😭 i tried opening up but she’ll draw it back 2 her . still recall when i hit milestones n she was so dismissive 😭then she opened up abt her new closed friend being distant bc she seemed avoidant & da sad reels she shares which is funny bc i see myself in dat friend sb lyk girl we deeply care but u gotta change ur algo!! then she said she never gets bothered by our friendship bc we could go months w/o talking so we must be really secure n i was there js like 🧍♀️then she asked what should she do abt her new friend. literally told her to do all da things i had been expecting frm her when i was the one feeling alone. yea i could be ironic

#dokkikispiritweek god this prompt made me homesick!! i know moving abroad was the best choice, but sometimes i miss netherlands so much nobody’s wife takes me straight back to weekends at my aunt’s where i’d stay while my parents were working, singing anouk over and over on singstar on her ps2 belgië reminds me of thursday nights in amsterdam, going to an indie pop competition and then staying for an ’80s dutch singalong disco, me and my friend sterre would always jam out hardest on this one! zoutelande never meant much to me until i moved countries. now it makes me think of summers on terschelling, where my dad grew up, staying with his friends, cold north sea days, grey skies, windy beaches and some of my favourite memories from being a kid :) photos are from then
