first time watching ‘A Man Called Otto’ today, couldn't help but see pieces of myself in both Sonya & Otto. Like Sonya, Ive been told I have quiet but persistent warmth, find joy in learning, believe in ppl, & naturally gravitate toward those who keep to themselves, not to pry, but just so they know they're not alone. when I care, I do so with certainty, often seeing past rough exteriors to the heart beneath,,,then there’s Otto, the part of me that values logic, order, & efficiency, sometimes feeling frustrated when things/ppl dont function as they should & his deep, quiet grief? that too is something I understand too well. Love the movie more than I expected, lowk wanna read the book…to get extra punched in the feelings 😏nahhh the love of community, that stuck with me. it reminded me sm of bopdrop…might be emotional as I type this…srsly, the subtle humour sprinkled throughout? LOVED IT. BUT calling it a comedy is absurd tho, I bet Otto would call em IDIOTS
