This song is really important to me not only because this album and eom in general are really special in my life but because of the message. I grew up without a dad (yes yes make your fatherless jokes now) and it’s always been difficult. But listening to this song reminds me that there is hope for me and my life. Hope for my mom, my family, my future kids. And it’s also a reminder to not make the same mistakes my father did and be able to give my kids what I never got the chance to have.
