Thesis statements that I argued with my friends about\want to write substack essays on: 1. Donald Glover once said, “he wished me could’ve created something like Abbott elementary” but he doesn’t have the emotional capacity to write these characters, more specifically complex female characters. 2. The show elementary is a case study that men and women can have a deep and meaningful friendship without romantic tension. 3. Having a racial preference in dating (outside of ones own race), raises the question: at what point does preference blur into borderline fetishization. 4. Romantic love isn’t the highest form of love but one that is emphasized in current society, mainly because of the absences of deeper communal and platonic relationships.
