A memory I have tied to this song is when I was like 8 years old and my mum just started working in her new place, and my dad went to pick her up and it was summer time so it was still light out at around 6-7 pm. My dad wasn’t the biggest fan of music but he always had the radio on and this song was on, and because of the summer heat he rolled down the window. One thing about my dad is he’s a slightly reckless driver so I could feel the wind on my face and I really fell in love with that song at that exact moment, day and breath. I wouldn’t say i was a sad kid but the smile that i had on my face at that time was very rare even for me lmao, I was so so so happy. I think the thought of running away and being a whole new person free of responsibilities and expectations appeals to me so much and I don’t know why. Listening to this song again I realise that at that age I loved the thought and 10 years later, I still want to run away to obscurity.
