i need to vent, guys. the lack of classical ballet & classical opera is starting to piss me off i have the youth subscription for the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, so for around €70 a year i get to see so unlimited ballet, opera and orchestra, which is genuinely incredible but fuck, sometimes i want grandeur!! gorgeous costumes, absurd sets, brocade, drama, elegance. i want to sit there in awe of how opulent the whole thing is i get that stripping all of that away for a modern retelling can make you focus more on the story. lovely. after the 7th one of the season tho, i’ve had it. plain ass decor give me some cool costumes, bro.
