I don’t think I can explain how much I love this song, I genuinely tear up every time I hear it. I wish I had the words to explain the connection I have to certain songs and show others why it’s so important to me, because it is a crucial part of understanding who I am, and I think this goes for most of us too. The entire song is so so beautiful to me, the string sample reminds me of the music from my own culture, and Mustafa singing in Arabic… I have no words, it’s so good. Then the transition of it to the outro is one of my favorite moments in all of music, I think it ties traditional and modern music really well while having such a great message behind it.No one really talks about how impactful heartbreak from a friendship can be and this song hits every single time. And most importantly, the music video especially highlights the struggle the people of Gaza are facing and have been facing for decades. Please don’t forget about them.
