Saw the new spiderman movie ‼️ I’m not the biggest marvel fan but this series is really hard not to love. Apart from simply seeing these beloved characters develop, I enjoyed the more mature/dark tone of this one as well as the feel-good needle drops. It was beautifully shot - just a pleasure to watch on a purely visual level (if that makes sense) - and some of the action scenes choreo and camerawork were notably cool. My critiques: I don’t think the spider bodily development plot point was fully wrapped up. I had no idea who the random tough guy was - they just assumed the audience would remember 🤷♀️ and 3. I think the “deadly person on the verge of mental breakdown goes into the memory of the protagonist and sees an emotionally moving memory” trope is way overdone and a cop out. 3.5/5 ⭐️ If anyone wants to be my letterboxd friend :) https://boxd.it/8dY4L 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
