#10 - SICK! by Earl Sweatshirt Although this album is certainly not the SRS Part 2 that fans (me included) initally wanted, that may be for the best. Earl’s strength has always been unpredictability. Both in his sonic style and lyrics, every line feels like a hazy venture into the mind of a scattered genius, like a web of pictures with strings tied between each pin. These clever lines and looping instrumentals hypnotize you, taking you from one short track to the next. Despite a runtime of only 24 minutes, it’s certainly enough for a full introduction into the abstract hip-hop space that Earl is so well known for. Favorite Songs: Tabula Rasa, Fire in the Hole
