#throwbackthursday I often think about the ways our country has changed over the last 100+ years and wonder if our ancestors would be proud of the growth we’ve made as a country. In some ways I feel like we’ve come so far in social welfare, quality of life, equality etc. but then I think a little deeper and wonder if it really is better than what it was before? Like sure things have gotten better but do we appreciate them? Are we happy about it? Are the problems that we have now better than the problems we had before? Idk
