Happy Friday! My next artist in my Taurus zodiac series is a someone who is known as the central progenitor of funk music & a major figure of 20th century music. He was known as the “Godfather of Soul”, James Brown!— he had a career of over 50 years & he influenced the development of many music genres. James created a new sound characterized by rhythmic complexity, heavy emphasis on the downbeat, & tight, repetitive grooves. His groundbreaking work in funk laid the foundation for various genres, including hip-hop, disco, & R&B. His performances were marked by intense energy, dynamic dance moves, & showmanship. His ability to captivate & engage audiences through his physicality & charisma set a new standard for live performances. His style of delivery (full of grunts, shouts, & screams) added a raw, visceral quality to his music. His work ethic & dedication to his craft earned him the nickname "the hardest working man in show business." He is a LEGEND!!!🤎 (7 of 14) #zodiacbopdropmusic

Next on my Taurus zodiac series is a personal fave of mine, Kirstin Maldonado from the best-selling acapella group of all time, Pentatonix. She is the sole woman in the group & is one of their lead vocalists. If you have ever been on YouTube before, you may have seen PTX covering a song. They are known for their innovative & complex arrangements. They have achieved significant commercial success with multiple platinum albums, numerous chart-topping singles, & a strong global fan base. Kirstin is my fave member because she is an EXCELLENT vocalist & songwriter. Throughout my years as a fan, she has showcased such an authentic & hard-working nature. I think she’s a great example of female empowerment, inclusivity, & chasing after your goals steadfastly. She’s such a gorgeous person inside & out. Her contributions to PTX are so admirable! They wouldn’t be who they are today as a group without her immense talent and ear for music. I LOVE HER SO MUCH!💕 (2 of 14) #zodiacbopdropmusic

Starting off my Pisces zodiac series today, we have none other than Erykah Badu! Often referred to as the Queen of Neo-Soul. Known for her experimental R&B songs and her eccentric style. Her music is heavily influenced by her exploration of African heritage and ideology and it explores a wide range of themes from social/sociopolitical issues, to the esoteric, to interpersonal relationships, to romance, to more heavy topics like racism, poverty, urban violence, and drug addiction. I always look at her as otherworldly in a sense and quite spiritually minded and innovative. Her Pisces nature definitely shines through in her music and persona by being quite emotionally sensitive, artistic, and imaginative. She’s another one of those artists that I grew up on and is going to be a forever staple in my music listening experience. I’m thankful for all of the musical gifts she’s shared with the world!💫 (5 of 14) #zodiacbopdropmusic

Next up in my zodiac series is a woman whose voice I wish I had!!! Tori has one of the MOST beautiful voices I have heard in my entire life. I have always loved her do it yourself approach to music. I will always give Tori her flowers especially because I feel like she is still quite underrated by the masses but I think it also speaks to the fact that she doesn’t want to loose her integrity in the crazy music industry (something she has spoken about before). She has so many gems in her discography and you can just tell how many gospel, r&b, and pop influences she draws from in her music. I also love how she can go from pop, to acoustic, to gospel, to r&b/soul, to Christmas music and she sounds good in ALL OF IT!!! I was happy to see that she made a gospel album in collaboration with Kirk Franklin too because that album was TRULY magic✨— I hope Tori continues to slay the world with her amazing vocals and music!!!☺️ (3 of 14) #zodiacbopdropmusic

My tenth song for my zodiac series for Scorpio artists goes to Katy Perry who is a POWERHOUSE!!! I didn’t realize just how many songs I know by her🤯— she has really cemented herself as one of the most successful artists of all time. I was reading her biography and she’s accomplished so freakin much!!! My childhood was filled with her music. Y’all, she was releasing hit after hit!!! I was listening to this song just now and I immediately started crying because the lyrics hit me so hard. Teenage me was not paying attention to the lyrics😅 I hadn’t heard this song in forever. To me, I take it as picking yourself back up after life’s painful moments and moving forward with resilience. I, and so many others, can definitely relate to that. The music video made me equally as emotional. I know she sold her music rights recently and is into other ventures now but I would love to see where her music career goes in the future🤍 (10 of 14) #zodiacbopdropmusic
