James Earl Jones has retired from voice acting. This means he will no longer be the voice of Darth Vader (kinda). He signed signed over rights to recreate his voice using AI technology. So, even though he himself will not do the voicing of Darth Vader, it will still sound like him. Actually, in the Kenobi series, the AI firm used the technology for his voice while still having some of his actual voice with it. Now, it will be 100 percent artificial for future use

The official start of the NCAA Tournament started today! One of the upsets today featured the 2-seeded Arizona Wildcats losing to the 15-seeded Princeton. Last season, the second-seeded Kentucky Wildcats lost to St. Peter’s in the first round too. It was the second straight year a Wildcat team lost in the first round to a New Jersey team. Also, the Northwestern Wildcats never trailed against Boise St en route to their victory.

Batman: the animated series came out 30 years ago today! I watched this series growing up thanks to a neighbor who had all the episodes on VHS. This show started my love of Batman and I recently rewatched the series on HBO Max to celebrate the 30th anniversary. If you’ve seen the series, which episode is your favorite?

I read the other day that Timothee Chalamet broke a 45-year acting drought. He became the first lead actor to be in multiple No.1 box office films within an eight month period (Wonka, Dune: Part 2). The last one to be in the same position as Chalamet was John Travolta for Saturday Night Fever and Greese. Because of this, Chalamet signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros to produce and act in future projects. He has a bright future ahead of him

I watched another episode of Smallville, which is the origin story of Clark Kent, who will later be Superman. I’m almost done with season 1 (out of 10) This episode was about a boy, who can read minds, running away from his abusive stepdad, and later runs into the Kent family for protection. The boy and Clark bond for a week, while Clark tries to protect the boy from the stepdad. I enjoyed this episode since Clark was always an outsider and never had a sibling to talk to and have fun with, and this episode showed him with a “younger brother” before moving in with his out-of-town aunt. And shoutout to @julieczech for being a great sister

8 years ago today, Batman vs Superman premiered. What was sure to be a film to set box office records with two of the three biggest superheroes on the big screen for the first time ever, ended with massive disappointment. Warner Bros were hopeful for $1.5 billion. Instead, this near $300 million dollar budget movie only made $870 million globally. In the comics, Batman and Superman were often portrayed as friends and dubbed “The World’s Finest.” However, this movie shows the characters on opposite sides of the spectrum, resulting in fighting one another. Recently, Warner Bros appointed James Gunn and Peter Safran as heads of DC Studios in which they will create a new DC universe and learn from the mistakes the DCEU made.

I finally watched Oppenheimer today (with my dad). It was a great movie and deserves the Oscars nominations. Also, The Bad Batch season 3 premiered today and The Acolyte series has a tentative release date of June 5. Finally, a table read of Superman: Legacy started today.
