Ok guys, scrap the idea on my last post. I wanted to do my own listening parties on like Stationhead, but I have like no followers. There is no point of me doing my own station just for myself. 💀Also, I think Spotify wrapped stops tracking music on Oct 31. I’m not sure about Apple Music though. Let’s get music listening every opportunity we have before Oct 31. I already know my music listening minutes will be at an all time high because of me very actively listening to music.

I just came home from my first ever soul concert. It was a smashing success. I got to see Astyn Turr and Thee Sacred Souls live for the first time. Thee Sacred Souls was so so so so so freaking amazing live. There whole set was so good, filled with so many of their great soulful songs. The vocalist Josh Lane had such pure and amazing live vocals. I could listen to him perform all day. The band performers were also really good. This is only the beginning because I am going to try to listen to more soul music and maybe even attend another soul concert.

Hello everyone, I just saw Charlotte Lawrence live for the very first time at the Fox Cabaret (first time at this venue) in Vancouver, BC Canada. 🇨🇦 She was so amazing live & had such an amazing vocals. She was also really beautiful, funny & had such a great set list. I am super happy that I got to see her close up. I was vibing during the whole concert. I have actually known about her music, since 2017 or 2018. Back then she didn’t have that many songs & wasn’t that well known. I remember I would play her music a lot on SoundCloud during my time in high school. Also, I got a signed CD 💿 of her new called Somewhere. Such an amazing album, that I can’t wait to listen again on CD. This is now my favourite concert that I have attended this year.

World Wide Music: Burundi 🇧🇮- Part 1 From Oct 12-18 Artist: Africanova Genres: Afro-soul, Funk, Rumba, Soukous, Afro-jazz, Traditional Burundian music About the artist: Africanova (real name Antoine-Marie Rugerinyange) is a pioneering Burundian singer, guitarist, and composer born in 1950 in Musenyi, Burundi. He began performing in the 1970s with AMI Jazz de Gitega and later became a key member of Amabano, one of Burundi’s most influential bands, blending soul, funk, and Burundian traditional music. Known for songs like “Ntukamwinyegeze” and “Iyizire, Ma!”, Africanova’s music stood out for its rich melodies and poetic Kirundi lyrics. After leading his own group Mbaza System in the early ’90s, he went into exile in Côte d’Ivoire, eventually settling in Canada, where he continued to record albums such as Aseke (2001) and Dukumburukanye (2004). Africanova remains celebrated as a founding figure of modern Burundian music. #worldwideseries
