How do I know when to stop trying to be there for someone? How do I balance showing I care with respecting their need for space, and how can I tell if my presence is wanted or if I’m overstepping? Where is the line?

Guess who set a password for a work phone and immediately forgot it again :) I’ve already quit so I can’t get fired. I always write things down because my memory is terrible, so I genuinely don’t know what possessed me to trust it this one time
