Disabled people are FORTY TIMES MORE LIKLEY to take their own lives. Read that again. READ THAT EFFING AGAIN! How is this acceptable!? HOW IS THIS OKAY!? Everyone including Doctors dismiss our mental health. We hear things like: “Well no kidding your depressed” “Get over yourself. Your just lazy” “Just don’t think about it” “I’d k:Ll myself if I were in your shoes.” “You’re a burden on society” “Your wasting government money” “People like you shouldn’t be alowed in public” “You should have been aborted” (I personally have been told every one of those) The disabled community is DYING and the world is just watching it happen! We’re struggling. We don’t want your pity. We need people to love, accept, and fight for us and with us. Because we’re exhausted. Change the Narrative. Don’t let us become another statistic. Our mental health matters too. Check on your loved ones with disabilities.
