Music that sounds like you’re stuck in a time warp getting blasted by space lightning, as the turbulence sends you clashing around. The gritty sludge metal rides the sounds all the way through, constructing this looming doom, made further potent by the lingering atmospheric riffs and the occasional sombre doomgazien tempo, all building up until the roof caves in and we’re suffocated by these intricate and heavy compositions. There’s a hint of this more futuristic, sometimes distorted, electronic noise, subtly in the background, flaring up as the songs pile up, giving the album this alien feel, like there’s another side to this record, away from the apocalyptic metal cage.
