The Gaslight Anthem’s Handwritten is one of my all time favorite albums, and this song in particular is so good. Fourteen years later, this album still blows me away, but it sounds like a classic rock album that stepped out of a time machine. If you love classic rock in any way, or you love emotional songwriting and lyrical storytelling, this album (and frankly, this band as a whole) is for you.

went to Half Price Books today and got some cool stuff, including a few albums I’ve never heard of for a dollar a piece, so expect my thoughts on them over the next couple days. I was mainly psyched to find The Gaslight Anthem’s Get Hurt, but the other albums are pretty cool, too
