next up is Adam Lambert’s 2020 album, Velvet, and this is a great mixture of R&B, soul, disco, funk, and rock. it’s got a very 60s and 70s sound with modern elements and I love it. his voice is absolutely insane and the disco, funk, and rock elements are done super well. this song is one of my favorites on the album, and the hook is so good. kind of a bummer this album never really got a lot of exposure, partially because it came out the same day as The Weeknd’s After Hours, and we all know how massive that was. it was also the pandemic, too, and not a lot of albums from that time got super popular due to the world going into chaos. this is such a cool album, though, and it has some killer tunes. Nile Rodgers is on this album, too, and his feature is so much fun
