New drinking game: take a shot every time I bring up a band/artist from my childhood whose music I shouldn’t have related to 😭 I’ve been listening to Evanescence since elementary school, & their music has only gotten more relatable as I’ve gotten older. Amy Lee has had her fair share of struggles w her mental illness/trauma since she was super young. I’ve always admired her for putting her battle into words so beautifully & her music has gotten me thru some really hard times throughout my entire life, especially the times when I thought I was crazy & all alone. She seems like such a kind, empathetic, endearing person & I would LOVE to meet her & see the band live one day. 🖤
