my extremely hot take is that i feel like subscribing to a “smut and sip” book subscription isn’t too different from actively consuming porn except the industry is different. like is it not also a porn addiction? to need smut to be in a book for you to enjoy it? i honestly believe that smut has become an obsession for people and its lowkey destroying fiction/literature. as someone who posts on tumblr and has felt the pressure to constantly write smut content i feel like the only way to get readers is to include 100 explicit scenes and it’s actually becoming exhausting
