don’t mind me, just bawling my eyes out to the most beautiful cover i’ve ever heard of the song about my home🥲🥲 but seriously this song is so nostalgic for me. i remember listening to it on my nintendo DS back in the day. it was the first song i downloaded on my first phone. there’s a radio station back home that plays it every day at 5. it’s THE appalachian road trip song. the campfire song. the soundtrack to my life growing up in west virginia. and yes i’m living in ohio for college, and i’ll probably stay here for a while afterward, but wv will always be my home. and i’d drive down those country roads any day. anyway, lana covered this wonderfully, really nailed the emotion
